Our vases are created from handblown glass. Each vase is an
individual piece and no two are exactly alike as no molds are used.
The handblown glass is created by using glass from a furnace which
is 2150º. The glass is rolled in colored frit (small broken
bits of glass) and heated in a glory hole at a heat of 2700º.
The pieces is shaped using many different tools, including cherry
wood blocks, graphite rods, scissors, and wooden paddles.
Once a piece is finished, it is transferred into an annealer to be
gently cooled down to room temperature.
